Before Your Visit

We want the design of your system to be perfectly suited to you and your home. We also understand that a building project will be very demanding of your time, so we want to be respectful of it.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a few tips to help you get the best from your visit to our Experience Centre.

you and your home

Send us your floorplans ahead of your visit and benefit from our creativity and experience.

With some time to prepare, we’ll be able to share some ideas on how we can enhance your home, from clever ways of hiding TVs to lighting effects that will enhance your living space.

Furthermore, the more we can understand about you and your lifestyle, the better we can make your system.

Do you have children? Are you away from home much? Are you into sport? Do you have any gaming fans in the family? Are you a party animal or do you prefer a quiet night in? Things like that. It all helps us build a picture, to design a system that’s perfect for you.

Understand the costs

Whilst integrated home technology systems are more affordable than they’ve ever been, homeowners are often shocked by the costs when they start receiving quotes.

As a guide, Homeplay, like most quality integration firms, don’t typically undertake single room projects less than £20,000 and whole-home projects less than £50,000. It’s not at all unusual for projects to cost far in excess of £100,000.

We’ve linked to an excellent third party online budget calculator that will give you a feel for what your project might cost - it takes between 5-8 minutes to complete. Click the button below to open it in a new tab.

Involve your design team

Our Experience Centre has been intricately interior designed. Densely packed with innovative design ideas and breathtaking hidden technology, a tour takes around 90 minutes.

We’re sure you’ll find it a hugely valuable and enjoyable part of the design process of your home, so it makes sense to share it with your architect and/or interior designer.

After the tour, we’ll sit down to discuss what you’ve seen. We’ll find out what your ‘non-negotiable’ items are, what are the ‘nice to have’ items and how all of these things could fit into your living space.

This will be a critical design meeting that will help set the look and feel of your dream home, so you won’t want to be rushed or distracted.
